Now that you have explored the foundations of Inclusive Teaching, this course will take a deeper look at key components to build a stronger understanding and application. We’ll examine questions such as: What do windows and mirrors look like when a class appears homogenous? How can metaphorical bridges be created to connect learning? What methods can be used to gather students’ background knowledge, and how can those insights be applied in teaching moments? How do student expectations shape differentiated learning? When and how should families be engaged most effectively? This course goes beyond the basics to explore practical ways inclusive teaching can be applied in these situations.
