Course description
When executive function demands exceed capacity, behavior often becomes the visible signal. Avoidance, shutdown, impulsivity, and escalation can reflect cognitive overload rather than defiance. This course examines how emotional load affects executive function performance and introduces a demand-analysis lens for interpreting behavior. Responsive instructional strategies are emphasized to preserve dignity, protect learning time, and reduce future overload.
