Mathematical Mindsets in the Classroom

The way students experience mathematics shapes how they see themselves as learners, and those beliefs can last a lifetime. Research shows that when teachers intentionally cultivate mathematical mindsets, students become more confident, more persistent, and more capable. But knowing that mindsets matter and knowing what to actually do in the classroom are two different things. In this course, you will explore each of the five mathematical mindset practices and identify concrete first steps you can take to begin building a mindset-focused classroom, leaving with a personal plan of action you can put to work right away.
