Course description
Many high school disruptions are predictable — and preventable. They tend to cluster around entry and transitions, low-clarity independent work, and moments when students don't see a path forward or a reason to engage. This course focuses on prevention through intentional instructional design: clear entry routines, purposeful pacing, and structured choice that reduces disengagement before it starts. Participants will explore how student agency, engagement checkpoints, and consistent classroom structures can shift the classroom from compliance-driven to investment-driven — and draft a prevention plan they can use immediately.
