Course description
How a teacher responds to a disruption in a high school classroom shapes everything: the student's next move, the class climate, and the relationship that either makes future disruptions more or less likely. High schoolers are highly attuned to fairness, tone, and whether they feel respected, especially in front of peers. This course helps teachers respond in ways that de-escalate, protect student dignity, and keep instruction moving. Participants will build a before-during-after toolkit grounded in the relational and developmental realities of high school classrooms.
