Course description
In grades 6–8, behavior often signals a disconnect between the task and the student's sense of relevance, competence, or belonging. This course helps educators shift from viewing behavior as defiance to reading it as feedback about learning conditions. Participants will explore how clarity of purpose, visible success criteria, and structured participation norms shape student behavior, particularly for adolescents navigating peer dynamics and identity. They will practice writing student-centered goals and identifying participation expectations that reduce confusion and increase engagement.
