Course description
In high school, disruptions often look different — phones out, passive refusal, chronic disengagement. But these behaviors are still feedback. This course helps educators shift from reading behavior as defiance to reading it as data about relevance, clarity, and trust. Participants will explore how goals framed around authentic purpose, transparent success criteria, and clear participation norms shape whether students invest or opt out. They will practice writing goals and success criteria that connect to student relevance and identify one participation expectation that sets the conditions for engagement.
